Home > News > Tesla Model 3 or Model S CPO?

The buzz about the upcoming Tesla Model 3 launch is escalating with videos, company announcements, Elon tweets, and commentary filling social media and the news. With Model 3 pricing starting at $35k, interest is very high – the reservation list is several hundred thousand people long.

If you’re interested in the Tesla Model 3 and don’t want to wait that long (or you’re looking for a larger vehicle), consider a Tesla Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Model S. These vehicles are inspected thoroughly by Tesla and offer a warranty (4 year – 50k miles limited or 2 year – 100k maximum odometer limited warranty).

You can find CPOs on Tesla’s Certified Pre-Owned site. You can also use EV-CPO Hunter – an aggregator that allows you to efficiently browse for pre-owned Model S (and Model X) vehicles. At the moment there are several vehicles below $40k! To learn more about the experiences with CPOs, look for videos on YouTube – several that detail the buying process have been published. Sean Mitchell’s Should you buy a Certified Pre-owned Tesla? is a good example.

For more information about taking delivery of Certified Pre-Owned Tesla vehicles in Hawaii, contact Tesla in Honolulu at (808) 829-3743. Tell them we sent you.

Lastly, you can find pre-owned (not “Certified” so pay attention to warranty offerings) Tesla vehicles in various marketplaces, e.g., eBay.com, Autotrader.com, and Facebook. With good research and persistence, you may just find that perfect Tesla for close to what a new Model 3 will cost.
