The Sierra Club and Plug In America recently published their AchiEVe: Transition to EVs Policy Toolkit. It summarizes the various policies that are shaping electric vehicle adoption across the country. These policies relate to the following:
- HOV Lane Access
- Vehicle Fleet Mandates
- Building Codes
- EVSE Installation At Multi-Unit Dwellings (MUDs) Sales Tax Exemptions
- Registration Fees
- Vehicle Purchase Rebates
There are references to what is being enacted by other states – these may also inspire similar changes in Hawaii.
