Our friends at the Sustainable Transportation Coalition of Hawaii (STCH) offer local car dealers with training on how to effectively sell electric vehicles. So far, Kamaaina Nissan, Kona Nissan, and BMW of Hawaii have been ‘EV Expert Certified’.

The training includes a self-study course and a 2-hour classroom training. It will empower sales associates with information that can help them sell electric vehicles with confidence.

If you are with a dealership that is not yet certified, consider applying. This will help your sales staff to be confident with electric vehicles, charging stations, and consumer expectations. The investment is mainly time – depending on the size of the group, STCH representatives may actually fly over from Oahu to administer the classroom segment of the training.
