This bipartisan legislation will raise the number of electric vehicles that can avail of the EV tax credit to 600,000 per manufacturer. The current cap of 200,000 has already been breached by some manufacturers (Tesla and GM). EV tax credits encourage consumers to purchase electric cars – while prices are improving, electric cars are still relatively more pricey that comparably sized gas cars.
